I bought this because I was recently hacked into something that was burglar free until last Monday. The thief literally ripped the safe off the wall! He/she left behind a computer, an iPad, a silver figurine I received when I left Saudi Arabia and his PlayStation. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that I got lucky and needed to get these items as soon as possible. While I understand this is just a deterrent meant to slow the thief and not stop it entirely, hopefully it will discourage any would-be thieves whose aim is to grab and grab. In other words, this device now makes my computer a less favorable target. The instructions were easy to follow. In fact, I didn't use them until I got to the point where I adjusted the size of the locking levers. There was a backup plate that I missed. The instructions clearly show where it is and how to use it to lock the levers in place after adjustment. All in all, the installation took less than 10 minutes and everything was pretty self-explanatory except for this mounting plate.
