Review on Revitalize Your Child's Mind with Melissa & Doug's Classic Wooden Puzzles by Lancy Rakesh

I LOVE this puzzle set! My son learned the colors with the fish puzzle and it was one of the first puzzles he could solve on his own. He likes to "experiment" by putting the wrong colors together before putting them in the right place. Now we're working on the numbers, and it's nice that they're so big. Below the numbers are the same number of objects (4 mice under 4), and the word ("four") is below the numbers. It is very detailed and useful for learning. The "weakest" of the puzzles, in my opinion, is the alphabetical one. There are so many of them and they are so small that it is easy to lose them. I lost F so long ago and have no idea where it is. Unfortunately that means I can't learn that letter because all that's left in the hole is a picture of a fish (there's no way to show the letter F). The letters are also cut out in such a way that they don't help with the puzzle (N is just a square). Since some of the images are also a bit more complex (we say "bug", but I'm for "insect"), this makes the puzzle more difficult. BUT, my son is happy to take the letter and bring it to me when I'm doing other things and tell me what it is, so I'm glad to have it anyway. He only does that with letters from the fridge when I'm in the kitchen. This set makes a great gift and learning tool and I highly recommend it.
