Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feel free to buy, for such a price, the quality is simply amazing.

There are several alternatives to this lens. But these are not only fixes, but also EF 70-200 zooms, of which there are 4 pieces differing in aperture and the presence or absence of a stabilizer. All of them, except for the EF 70-200 F4 without a stub, are much more expensive, weigh more, but provide convenience when choosing focal lengths. According to some experts, the 2 version 70-200 F2.8 is equal to or better than the EF 200 F2.8, but significantly more expensive and heavier. Therefore, buying an EF 200 F2.8 only makes sense if you know exactly where you will be using it. The black color is more common than the white of the 70-200 and you can take pictures on the street or at the beach without attracting too much attention. By weight, 200 is also less than white pipes. Using 70-200 F4, I noticed that I take a lot of photos at a focal length of 200, so I decided to take a fix for testing, since I got it for almost half the price. At that time I already had an EF 135 F2.0 and a 1.4x extender of the second version, which together gave 190mm with F 2.8. In fact, the same as this 200mm lens. I have not yet been able to compare both options in work, but judging by home tests, they are very similar and it may not make sense to take exactly 200mm, if you have a 135th and an extender. To summarize all of the above, buying a 200mm 2.8 is a very controversial decision due to more than 5 replacement options, including the much more popular 135 L with an extender, not to mention the 70-200 zooms.
