I wanted to use this to connect my laptop to two external monitors. He connected them well and showed three separate displays. One screen of my laptop and two monitors are extended. However, I have noticed that the screen resolution of my monitors has decreased compared to when I connected the HDMI cable directly to my laptop. I thought why should I pay for a lower resolution. Instead, I'm going to use the VGA input on my laptop to connect another monitor. This takes care of both the resolution and the heat that was going on in this adapter. Little did I know that the laptop already has two inputs (HDMI and VGA) that allow me to connect two monitors. in fact, the laptop also has a usbc input for a third monitor. I only bought this adapter to reduce the number of plugins. But I think it's not possible to get the resolution you want, and these adapters do the same thing, just at a lower resolution. I'll bring it back and use the VGA input along with the HDMI input instead.
