I keep the temperature of my home very low in the winter. I'm fine when I'm moving around, but watching TV or reading a book can get uncomfortably chill. I needed a pair of matching throws for my living room chairs, and these looked like they filled the bill so I ordered them.PLUSES: Really, really, REALLY soft. Color (I got black) is nice and deep.MINUSES: A little more lightweight than I'd prefer, but still very warm, especially with a cat or three on my lap. (In fairness, when I say I keep the temperature low, I mean LOW!)ADDED BONUS: My cats love them!ADDED MINUS: My cats love them. <sigh>NOTE: Thanks to the added minus above, I've already had to wash the throws. I'm always concerned when I launder something so soft and with any fluffiness to it because it can get flattened, even matted. These throws came out of the dryer like they came out of their original packaging: Beautiful, and soft, soft, SOFT!
