At this price point you're expected to read the review and be aware of any trade-offs you might make. with adding this center channel speaker to your system. I'm sorry to disappoint you. It clearly has the right presence, it pairs well with speakers from different brands, it projects dialogue from movies and shows with a beautiful and natural timbre, it loves vocals in music when listening in multi-channel stereo, and it shines in my entertainment center right below my TV to disappear from view. Can't say anything negative about it, except that if you're against crickets, it's not nice. This is the perfect addition to a bookshelf speaker system. I suspect you should use a slightly larger center channel if you have towers or other large speakers that hate neighbors. I've listened to this with several pairs of speakers and they just work. This center channel should cost more, but I don't set prices. Worth every penny.
