I have a Macbook Pro and mainly use it to back up my DropBox files. I have no problem disabling and enabling the DB so that it syncs properly. He has no problem backing up and storing my files. However, with what has been said. I am not satisfied with the quality of the connection. The first few weeks worked fine. However, the USB connection is now questionable, if at all. I plug it in, the light is on, but unless I "switch" it on a bit, it won't "see" the external drive. It's frustrating. I can go into the database and download files, but if I've made changes to disk before opening the database to sync, then of course they're not online, just on the passport. Yes, I have the latest Mac update, Yosemite, so maybe that's the problem, or I need a different cable (or rather, the company should send it to me. I'll contact support). It's a great device, but I need that connection to be reliable anytime, anywhere.
