I'm so disappointed. I washed (with soap) and dried these frosting tips. They turned out to be clean. Then I started practicing with them and making flowers that seemed to be edible. It wasn't until I started cleaning the tip with a silicone spatula that I discovered they had nasty black machine oil on them! It covered the inside - it was everywhere. Apparently it messed up my cherry on top. Luckily I didn't use these tips for ice cream cupcakes. I'm afraid that anyone who has eaten food garnished with these tips has ingested a small amount of inedible motor oil each time. The instructions say to wash with soap and water. Water and soap do not remove motor oil! You need a special detergent! It was an experience for me. Never again will I buy tips from a mysterious brand. From now on, I'll stick with established brands, such as those used in canteen kitchens. This product is not safe. That should be remembered.
