Worth the money: Body and Fairing Kits

I am very happy with these washers. You are bright enough. Each bulb seems as bright as the 20 watt halogen bulbs they replace in my kitchen. These three lights are mounted to my pot rack and provide enough light to work on the island below, even if they partially block the pots and pans. They seem to be about the same color as my lightbulbs. I don't notice any blue or green tint to the light, and objects under the lights appear to be the correct color. They appear to be of good quality. Nothing looks or feels flimsy or cheap. The power cords attached to each light appear to be thick and well insulated. Where each wire connects to the lights there is extra reinforcement to reduce stress. Two lamps have two cables each, which allows you to install multiple lamps. Only one wire is connected to the third light, which simplifies installation when installed in a line. I installed it with an American Lighting ALSLBOX-BK-B Xenon 120 Volt Puck Slim-Line Hardwire Box, two Molex sockets, on/off switch, black. The harness includes a switch, two selectable breakout points for the incoming power line, a power line connector, and two female connectors for connecting the plug ends from the washer lights. I only used one of the female ports as I decided to install three washers in a line. I leave the power switch on because the entire circuit is connected to my wall switch/dimmer. Pay attention to which dimmer you use. I first tried the Lutron Maestro CL series dimmer. However, I have found that the Maestro is an electronic switch that always draws 0.15 watts, even when the lights are off. For these very high efficiency LED washers, that 0.15W was enough to dimly illuminate the LEDs even when the switch was off. In other words, it is not possible to completely disable these LEDs with the Maestro switch. Then I tried Lutron Diva Lutron DVSCCL-153P-SW Diva Dimmable CFL/LED Dimmer, Snow. This switch works great and I can dim the washers down to a very low level smoothly with no flicker or noise. And the switch is mechanical, so it can be turned off completely. My only complaint is that when the Diva switch is turned on, the LEDs will flash brightly once before staying at the desired setting. It's hard to tell if the LEDs or the Diva or a combination of both are to blame. When the light is on at full power it looks like a single light is on. But if you dim them below about 50 percent, you'll see that there are actually 12 small LEDs in each puck. I've noticed that in addition to each of these 12 getting darker, some of them actually start turning off to achieve a dimmer light. When fully dimmed you can see 6 dimly lit LEDs in each puck; the other six are off. This system works very well for smooth and efficient dimming. For flush mounting you will need to cut a 2 3/8 inch diameter hole. The rigid springs in the wash lanterns are designed for installation in materials at least 1/4 inch thick. In my case I assembled from thin sheet metal. Glad I haven't thrown away the surface mount rings yet. I have found that I can place surface mount rings behind my sheet metal to provide the required thickness for mounting the light. My sheet of metal was sandwiched between the LED block and surface mount ring and the installation looked professional. I would buy more of these LED washers if I needed them. After reading many reviews about cheaper washing machines, I realized that it is worth paying extra for it.
