Review on Infinity REF3022CFX Reference Speakers Edge Driven by Daniel Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These two speakers sound much better than the four old ones

They were used in a 2001 VW Eurovan that actually had old Kenwood speakers which were incredibly bad. It was hard to believe someone actually pulled out the stock speakers and put those Kenwoods in. The van featured two-way coaxial speakers in the doors, as well as 3.5-inch speakers in the dashboard facing the windshield. They were even worse in quality. that someone thought four crappy loudspeakers would sound better than two crappy loudspeakers, so you looked more into the ears of the front passengers, these loudspeakers are so powerful that the plastic door systems of the good old eurovan simply couldn't cope with all the vibrations. .I went through the entire door and window slider assembly, wedging and gluing pieces of rubber and felt to keep the plastic pieces from buzzing against each other. all hum is eliminated, the speakers and only the speakers were really audible. Now I have some pretty good audio gear at home, a whole collection of quality headphones and earbuds. A car on the track (particularly a 20-year-old van with some squeaks and rattles) is a fairly noisy, noisy listening environment. These things sound nice with the engine off. Of course, at freeway speeds and at higher volumes to drown out wind and road noise, they lose some detail and plenty of bass from all that background noise, which is inevitable. I'm definitely very satisfied and can turn them on as needed and they never distort or anything like that. Pretty musical sound considering the environment. I left blank the holes that the old 3.5 inch speakers plugged into. If those two door speakers sound this good, I don't know what you can get out of two more speakers. more places buzzed and rattled that I needed to fix. I can actually use these holes as coasters if I want. They didn't put many cup holders in VWs back then.
