I am correcting my previous review. The bad sound quality was my fault. user error! I realized that I need to connect the microphone to the camera with a cable. (Yes!) Apparently I just used the audio from the camera with no microphone. If you want good sound, you should use this big microphone. The sound quality is better and I'm happy with it. The biggest challenge is figuring out how to download videos to MacBook. They don't end up in my video file, so I have to search for them, and they're only accessible when the camera is connected to a computer. I would like to know how to properly handle this. Of course there were no instructions. In general, for this money is normal.
