Review on Digital SMD Tester Capacitance 990C by David Plunkett

The first thing I like is that it comes in a plastic case. Keep in mind that this is clear plastic with tabs and may not last long, but it's a thought that matters as many of these items currently only come in a box. A switch on the edge selects whether you are testing diodes, low voltage, or components. There are two buttons that allow you to select additional features for each feature. Comes with 2 AAA size batteries. The meter has wired test leads with banana plugs that hook into loops on the tweezers heads. I haven't tested it with my other gauges to see how accurate it is. The gauge's plastic body has the appearance of ABS plastic, which can quickly deteriorate over time. The time will show.
