Review on HP 27-Inch FreeSync Gaming Monitor πŸ–₯️ 2560x1440p, 165Hz, Adjustable Tilt, Height, and Pivot, β€Ž2V7U3AA#ABA by James Marcellus

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Some disappointing backlight, slightly reddish tint

I bought it with pretty high expectations based on the mostly very positive reviews. For the price paid, I'm mostly happy with it. Colors are vibrant and pretty good overall, although it doesn't use a Nano IPS backlight like some other monitors with the same LG panel. I like his looks; simple, somewhat classy/elegant and understated (not the bright "gaming" look of the monitor. - No dead pixels - Works well in games. Two things keep me from giving it 5 stars: - Slightly annoying IPS- Glow, much more noticeable on On the one hand, backlight bleeding around the edges was minimal and perfectly acceptable, but the glow on black screens is very annoying when loading screens or very dark scenes.I don't play much on PC and never watch movies on my computer so I decided not to come back.-Masking to reduce blue light is something I don't like.Yes you can apply ICC profiles (which I did) and color from there tweak a bit but I felt like I could get just a little too warm and a little too cool and I wasn't able to get the really neutral white I wanted I think it's close enough for me, so I'm back Not decreased monitor by price but I think I'll definitely try something different when I'm ready to buy a second 27" monitor to replace my old 22" dual setup.
