my first thoughts are a bit ugly, why in the shape of a T? I'm glad I got through it. So first things first - it's a nice metal case, and that's 256GB! - It is formatted exfat by default. It comes with built-in lighting and USB-A, and has an adapter that goes from USB-A to USB-C. I was playing around with the photo interface on the iPhone 12. What you do is use the app's Y disk, but if you need to transfer photos from one iOS device to another, it works just fine. I use iCloud Photo Library/optimized on my iOS devices so there are no photos on the phone from a computer perspective. The y disk app doesn't seem to care and happily copies the photos from your phone to your flash drive. The receiving iOS device also requires the y-Disk app, and while the file explorer format is a bit odd, you'll find a folder of content to copy. I'll say the interface is pretty clunky, but it's a way to transfer photos from one device to another without having to rely on an Apple ID. Transferring files from iOS device to another computer is much easier as you can easily see the folder/file layout. Over time there is a high probability that the y app will become unavailable so iOS to iOS transfer will be difficult/impossible unless another replacement is available, but for now this works great.
