What great value!

The mirror is very well made and easy to assemble with a helper. This is an incredible price at under $60 and a lot cheaper than similar mirrors at $150 or more. This is a beautiful addition to our bathroom. Note that this is not a small mirror - measurements are top to bottom of the glass oval and hinge to hinge on the sides. While the dimensions given give the impression that the glass piece is shaped like an egg, it is actually a more elongated oval from top to bottom. Installation is easy, just read the instructions. I was tempted to install the hinges first and then try to install the mirror on the hinges. You can't do this because the hinges fit onto the glass. First you need to find and install the mounting plates for the hinges, then attach the hinges to the mirror, and then attach the entire assembly (hinges and mirror) to the mounting plates previously attached to the wall. Make sure the mounting plates are properly aligned and aligned, and note that the mounting plates have a vaguely embossed "up" symbol. This "up" orientation must be observed, otherwise the attachment may not be secure. Flipping or fixing improperly installed panels is not impossible, but it is a definite problem. We have tongue and groove wood walls in our bathroom and I tried to use the cheap Chinese screws that come with the mirror. Apparently they were designed for the drywall inserts that came with the mirror. The steel in the screw head is soft and easily damaged, rendering the screw unusable on a wooden wall. In the end I threw them away and attached the panels with ordinary self-tapping screws. Note that the mirror includes inserts for attaching to drywall, so these should be used if you have drywall (drywall). Correct installation is important in any case, as the mirror is relatively heavy. And the last. I noticed other reviewers were disappointed with the packaging and received cracked mirrors. Someone must have gotten the clues as the mirror arrived very well packaged in a large outer box on top of the original box. The inner factory carton was held securely in place with thick pieces of rigid foam taped to the outer shipping carton. This prevented any movement of the inner mirror box within the outer shipping box and provided a buffer space between the two boxes to protect against impact.
