Review on 🚜 Fisher Price Classic Farmer Says See 'n Say: The Perfect Pre-School Gift for Boys and Girls by Matthew Seamster

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nostalgic, inaccurate copy

Pros: - Memories! How nice to see one of them again! - Low price! 20 euros is not bad, especially when other "throwback" products charge a nostalgia surcharge. Continuous! As I've only used it a couple of times I can't comment on the durability of the cord and gears... but the toy itself is made out of hard, durable plastic. I expect this to last for a long time, assuming the internal mechanisms will do the same. Cons: - It's much smaller than the original. Probably at most 3/4 the size of what you had. The rotating boom and motor are so loud that the animals can hardly be heard through the gears. the product is correct. (Unless you're a collector, it doesn't matter.) Mine shipped in a plastic bag and arrived quite crumpled. If I were giving it away I would probably trade it in for a better one. For the reviewers who claim this doesn't work because it reproduces the sound of the animal the arrow starts on: did you ever have a see 'n say as a baby? That's exactly how it worked. I clearly remember turning the needle to the specific animals I wanted to hear before pulling the string. It even says so on the packaging. (See photo) It's a cute blast from the past, but the above issues make it more of a quick trip down memory lane than a practical educational toy.
