I am an experienced installer. There were no suction cups. I took them separately along with the cigarette lighter. Connecting the connector was tricky, needed a third hand. But I did it. I never cut wires. A long foot is better than a short foot. The placement of the bar in the Mission Versa's rear window was very tight, but I managed. A notice. Dampen the suction cups with window cleaner. This achieves two things. 1. Generates strong suction. 2, while the cups are still wet, you can move the rod to the center and align. Once it hardens it will be difficult to remove. 3. Take a plastic scraper. If you need to remove it, gently place the scraper under the cups, remembering that the rear defroster grille is very thin. I installed one of these. Patience is required both when connecting the connector and correctly attaching the rod to the rear window. If you run a hard wire and drill through the rear window, be careful when routing the interconnect wire under the carpet. In my case, the light is completely removable. Just unplug and break the cup seals. I have a dash and lights under the road guide and a magnetic light bar on the roof. I can remove the entire system in minutes.
