I wish I had ordered a bigger one but the one I got works just as well. I based my purchase on these 3 and 4 star reviews because there is more honesty in this area. The non-working remote control was a constant aspect of this product and was expected not to work. It still hasn't detracted from how well it really works. I have a 70 gallon tank and 2 air pumps, a tank over 40 gallons will require more air power due to tank pressure. The larger the tank, the more weight your bubbler will have to overcome per foot. 1 gallon of water weighs about 10 pounds and your air supply needs to be able to accommodate larger than the tank or you will get back pressure or your product will not perform as well as bubblers. Before you put the bubbler in the tank, connect the air duct and let the air run for about 5-10 minutes, so that the air can reach all parts of the bubbler evenly and work much better. Keep the airflow going when you put it in your tank. Having your tank full of water will prevent water from entering the bubbler holes and giving the impression that the holes are clogged. If you set up the bubbler with an empty tank, be sure to start the air pump before you start filling the tank and while you are filling the tank. As for the non-working remote control, I think the company should lower the price until the remote control issue is fixed, the remote control functions look pretty cool and I wish it worked. It can be a dead test and you'll see.
