Disappointed and I don't need it from plug

I bought one of these and I really liked it. Has worked flawlessly. I foolishly thought the second one would be the same. Boy was I a fool. The second was annoying to set up and doesn't work at all to control my light. Exactly the same kind of lights. This is an absolute waste. I'll keep the first one and I'm very happy. This new one is back. I think the problem is related to the app or possibly updated device software. It was fantastic, wish I had bought two at the same time.

Pros
