Cute but cheap comforters and sets

It was beautiful until I washed it. I don't know what happened, but as soon as the cotton became a lump in the washing machine, I dried it on low and the cotton really started to stick together like it was melted. I will never buy again! Did you have to take the comforter to the cleaners?
