I have been attending centennial and centennial metrics for many years and take my racquet out with the route every Saturday morning. It would be difficult to work with an itinerary using a clamp, but I feel much more secure and confident that my itinerary will stay in place. I share a similar complaint that the surface of the strap that contacts the handlebars needs to have some sort of rubberized texture to keep it in place. I solved this by putting some tape on the back of the velcro so the tape was sandwiched between the strap and my handlebars. It probably cost me less than a penny to fix this, I wish the manufacturer would integrate the fix.
