Too small for pens or make-up brushes.
They don't even fit makeup brushes. They have an inner lining and inner pockets for small items. But they don't fit much. In the photo of these two packages (same size) you can see how easy it is to enlarge them with the corners. I won't argue much because they are cheap. But they should include a photo of someone holding them because they are REALLY SMALL. I don't think you can even use them as a pencil case. Not sure what they will be useful for. However, they are thicker than simple canvas bags. Durable seam.
