Nordman RS tires were used year-round for a period of six years. These tires were all the rage at the time, and they still are now. "like on rails" handling after a summer's use; wear resistance after six years of winter use; a 4 mm tread depth; a really silent ride; what more can I say about a friction tire without spikes? For this year, I splurged on a Nordman RS2 from a reputable internet retailer (order number: 536735). The newer model has a more advanced design than its predecessor had; where before it was a traditional Scandinavian, now it's a hybrid with extra channels that serve as drainage systems. The composite inserts and reinforced lamellas for icy conditions were nice touches, too. Silence greets you at first! The tire is far less noisy than its predecessor. Vehicle manufactured in Japan that features permanent all-wheel drive. I spend the vast majority of my time driving in the city on asphalt, which does not get snow in our area and where sprayed reagents produce mostly slush outside of the winter. The new Nordman RS2 is very maneuverable in wet and slushy conditions. The benefits of having an all-wheel drive vehicle become apparent in the form of reduced road noise and exemplary handling.
