I've been using this thing for more than a month so I can't return it. But it took me a long time to realize that I couldn't find a solution to all of his problems. I wanted to use it as a TV food tray and it's awful. I'm not sure it would be much better for computer use. On the plus side, it's very durable. It will never break. It's pretty big too. There are many other downsides: the worst part for me is that it's not tilt adjustable. In other words, due to the poor design of the beanbag (yes, I know it doesn't actually contain beans), I can't get the tray to sit flush with the floor. This just mimics the downward tilt of my legs when raised on the ottoman. In addition, the surface is very slippery. In other words, my food slips on the floor, which makes my dog happy, but not me. Since there was a hole for a pen at the top, I tried to put a rag in the hole to keep the panels from slipping too far. It helps a little, but not 100 percent, so I added a rubberized cutlery pad. It works, but since I can't stick it on the surface due to the need to clean it, it's very inconvenient. Also, the thing is very heavy. When you are burdening other things, it is very difficult to put a tray and a plate of food on the tray, and then raise it to your knees. I'm not sure how much damage would be done if I accidentally dropped it on my foot (which needs to stay on the ground before raising the tray to my knees). The lesson here is that strength isn't enough if people don't try to test them in real-life situations before they're released to the market. I have to bite the bullet and throw away the $50 I can barely afford by donating this thing and then spending more money on a cheap plastic bowl that actually suits my needs. I hope you think long and hard to make sure this is what you really need before you learn these lessons the hard way.
