I liked the size and the fact that it's made of wood. but trust other reviews that say it cracks. I used it for a week or two without anything getting wet or put on it. When not in use it lay on its side on the couch and I heard weird crackling noises. Of course, cracks appeared between the pieces of wood. I bought one of these lap tables to use with my iPad morning and night when I'm sitting in my chair. I liked it so much that I bought it for my husband in 2016. At the time, he had problems with shoulder pain and it hurt to hold the iPad while using it. His pain completely disappeared after a short time at the table. I can honestly say we use them every day and couldn't be happier with them! They are just as strong and beautiful as the day we bought them.

When I realized the smell was coming from the removable pillow and not the wood, I had to soak the pillow in water with bleach and soap.
