I borrowed one of these bamboo kneeling tables from my wife. She got hers from Barnes & Noble a while back. This one is of much better quality than this one but is no longer available. The one I got here is of much lower quality, especially for the cost, but if you want a bamboo table the options are limited. One good thing about it is that it's big enough for any laptop with a mouse and seems to easily fit between the armrests of any chair. That's why I'm rating it 3 stars instead of 2. The edges aren't as smooth as B&N, however, and are jagged as if they were hand-cut. The pillow below is smaller and less filled. The material that fills the pillow, plastic beads I think, gets much warmer and not as comfortable as the batting in a B&N pillow. The table I received also had a large piece broken off at one end. You can see it in the attached photo. The missing piece was filled in with some sort of putty and sanded down a bit before the final coat was applied. The repair was not very good either in appearance or touch. I suppose I could return it and hope for a better replacement, but I've decided not to bother with it. When quality control is that poor, replacement can also be an issue. As this is a functional item and not a look I can live with that. Let's hope the damaged edge repair holds up. I've also found that using a towel under the table on my lap reduces hot sweating from the attached pillow. If I hadn't had a B&N table to compare I might not have been so disappointed, but for $50 you would expect more. It's probably worth closer to $25.00.
