Acceptable driving comfort

So far so good for my Scion xA with original springs. Be careful when installing the brake lines! They can be damaged by stress. I separated the line mounts from hard to soft to increase range with less tension. I also supported the suspension with a jack to keep it from dropping too low. I forgot and accidentally drew soft lines in one place. I didn't notice any damage, but it's best to avoid possible damage. I don't like the single mother they offer. They have different OEM threads. The nut they supply is crimped to prevent it from loosening making installation difficult. You need to hold the plunger, which is bent at the end for this purpose. The crimp is pretty crappy but hard to hold. I used a wrench and may have switched to pliers (but can't remember). I installed it without wasting too much time and it's fine, but you could use some regular nuts (like standard nuts) instead. I'm happy with the ride as I was looking for comfort after years of using aftermarket springs. and original shock absorbers sagging to the bumpers. The cabin is a little quieter.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Very expensive
