Bought this to drink sake. I wanted clear glass, not ceramic, and they're the right size, vacuum insulated to keep sake cooler longer, they're sturdier than regular sake glasses, and they just look really good and feel good in the hand. All four arrived undamaged in individual foam cells. I've washed them and everything seems fine, but I really wouldn't press hard to clean the inside of the mug just to be on the safe side. But since the glass is so smooth I don't understand why anyone would have to use force to wash these glasses. So clean them carefully and I'm sure they will last a long time.
