I was so excited about this bed. The packaging is compact and can be moved alone. The height allows a lot of storage space under the bed. The reviews rightly said that this can be assembled alone. Unless, of course, you have that factory defect that is preventing the support beam from snapping into place. That tiny metal ball (pictured) means one of the support beams isn't snapping into place. This is the last step. Be ready to grieve when you find that a 90% assembled bed is taking up your bedroom and there is no room for your mattress. After trying to hollow it out and hitting it with a hammer, I tried contacting the manufacturer directly, but no response. Defects do occur due to the way this bed is made, but I cannot express how angry I am that a useless piece of metal is taking up my entire bedroom and hours of my time and frustration. I will be able to take it apart to move it, no need. In trying to get this to work I found that the plastic pieces holding the slats in place slip out when you try to pull the slats back out. I doubt it's been assembled for a long time and you can't take it apart again.
