So far I haven't had any major issues with this surge protector. The biggest benefit for me was the cable line protection. In my family, a cable modem and television were destroyed by a lightning strike through an unprotected cable line. Since then I've always looked for surge protectors that I can use to prevent the same event from happening again. I haven't tested the device with a power surge yet, but I hope it works. If I had one complaint, it would be the lack of USB ports. The replacement surge protector had four USB ports in addition to power outlets. Otherwise a great buy, especially for the price.
