Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake, because no matter how carefully you turn it, it leaks every time and once, if I didn't get everything in my backpack, my wallet too. I have now established that the original top is NOT leaking, but the TOP SOLD AS REPLACEMENT (#17-07 engraved center inside) does. So don't make my mistake and don't buy. But what I love about Klean Kanteens is that this particular version just doesn't fit.
