I usually use microfiber towels for hair. When I saw this cap I knew I had to try it. Thick, so soft. It looks like a cozy winter hat. Putting wet hair on top of your head was a learning curve. I found it best to place it vertically on my head, sweep it down my face and hair, and then pull it up, wrapping all my hair in a hat. My hair stayed in the cap, not a single one was knocked out. It was a pleasure to wear while continuing to take care of my skin and do my makeup. When I removed the cap my hair was towel dried enough to be ready for hair products. I had an issue with the cap opening, but I'm not deducting a star because I feel the quality and performance outweigh the issues - the cap smelled musty when I opened the cap packaging myself. Not overwhelming, but enough to be noticed. In a hot, muggy summer, I wouldn't call that particularly unusual, but perhaps a sachet of silica in a lidded pack would solve the problem. I just put it in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and hung it to dry. A nice bonus, complete with a cap, is a very soft, dense makeup remover wipe. Thank you for the gift! I haven't used it yet, but I've seen fabrics like this get rave reviews. It's quite long and wide, nothing feels cheap. I have used and washed this hat multiple times with no loss of shape, softness or absorbency. Satisfied and recommended.
