5 months after my install on my '07 Honda CR-V and it still works perfectly. No unnecessary or unpleasant noise. I have no complaints about the quality of the components and the iron. There seems to be only 3 manufacturers of this type of compressor and from the looks of it it is not a major overhaul. Luckily in this setup I had access to an air conditioner to start and charge the vacuum. I've built previous cars with a simple "can" and deflated it by holding the high side valve open and it worked fine if you're a road mechanic. I'm pretty sure I put 4.5 ounces of oil in for reference if you need it. Less for civil and chord models. It's blowing pretty cold. Defrosting is quick. This kit turned out to be the cheapest after searching the websites for parts. I hope this saves someone hours of shopping. Update: It's been over a year now and it's still holding up very well. No questions!
