Review on ZOTAC ECM7307LH GeForce I7 10700 ZBOX ECM7307LH U W2B by George Jacobson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good performance in a small package. Some minor issues with the fit/finish of the power adapter/cable.

I was in the process of converting/upgrading my mid-tower to a mini-ITX build when I realized that given the current state of the world, it wasn't *much* much bigger than the GPU alone (mid-2021). I decided to take this and just resell all my old parts I had for a new build. It was a smart deal when the computer was $1899.99 and is now $2400 less. The machine is up now, it's great for what I wanted, it's an ultra small gaming PC. While I probably could have put together something comparable for a little less, the lack of hassle made it worth the premium. When performing normal day-to-day computing tasks, the device is very quiet. Games turn it into a jet engine on my desk, but that's the price to pay for such a small form factor. I play with headphones so I can barely hear it and the temperature is within acceptable ranges. One small issue is that the PSU seems to have some wires interfering with the fan as I can sometimes hear the fan rubbing against the wires. I plan to open the car tonight and see what I can do about it. Other users have reported being able to move the cables inside the PSU through the air vents with a screwdriver. Once the warranty has expired or parts become more available and I'm less worried about voiding my warranty, I intend to replace the stock cooler and CPU fans with Noctua units and possibly remove the GPU shroud.

Cons
  • Not as good as it says
