After trying several other cameras I finally found one that suits me! You can read the other reviews I've written about other cameras from other companies and you'll see that I'm not hiding my frustration with trying to find a night vision home camera that not only works properly, but records that way , like I do . . . need this. First let me say that the customer service team welcomed me. Even before I got the camera they were there to answer all my questions. They did it quickly, politely and most importantly patiently! After getting the camera and setting it up I still followed it up with a series of questions and again they were absolutely fantastic at making sure every single one of them was answered. Thanks for that! Now to the camera. I mainly use it at night so the night vision quality was a must. This delivers a very sharp image and there is virtually no blur when someone steps into the frame. I had another case where not only did any movement result in a smeared blur, but the "ghosts" were still there after leaving the frame due to their presence. There is nothing that compares to this device. The audio is pretty decent too, and by the way, the audio is recorded along with the video. I say this because the same camera I mentioned above didn't record audio to the SD card along with the video. It picks up voices fairly clearly, but I'll admit it's better in smaller rooms. However, you can also catch voices in large rooms, I only recommend headphones for playback. Ordinary laptop speakers may also not be able to hear the conversation. That said, audio-wise, it does a great job of picking up all the noises in the house, from the banging of the window to the TV in the other room. This is great for me not only for recording but also for monitoring. Recording videos and saving to SD card as MP4 is great and I don't need to convert them to watch. This was a big problem for me and the main reason I love this camera so much. The application is great. I can record and play back from it (remember to go back and save video from the app to my iPad or iPhone), and the controls are nice and responsive. I can move the camera, change the screen brightness, take screenshots and much more. I'm having an issue with using the app's microphone to speak through the camera to the room it's recording. It works fine on my iPhone but not on the iPad. This is irrelevant to me, but I want to mention it anyway. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 just because of a technical error related to night vision at launch. at different places. About 8 times out of 10 if I run it in an already dark room the night vision turns a bright deep pink. Still works and it's still recorded as pink night vision, but pink is an 80's nightmare. I've tried various things to prevent this, even contacted support and they gave some advice. But I found the following works for my device. Turn on the light, turn on the night vision and record normally for a few seconds, then turn off the light again. If night vision is on, everything should be fine. It's a great camera for me, maybe I'll buy a second one over time. After all the issues I've had with others I've tried, this one saved my sanity. I think the best was saved for last.
