With all schools connected to the internet this frees up more space on my college desk and raises my head for scale classes (I looked at the screen) I got it Chosen to allow my MacBook Pro to breathe through the holes on the bottom and keep it from overheating. It also has handles to keep it in place. The only downside is that if you need to type, and it's a laptop, your wrists are high, which I didn't think about when I bought it, but it's not a big deal.
