I have a pet backpack from this company and I love it. Trying out this pack of 1-2 animals was the next step. I have 3 Schnauzers, all a little older - 2 10lbs, 1 15lbs. Although I was able to get both little girls into the pack, the bottom one wasn't happy because she had to lie down. The top one could stick his head out of the top one and was happier. When I was only using it for one dog, my oldest girl, it gave me extra room and I was able to tilt her head back instead of up which I think is safer. If you have puppies or even smaller dogs or cats than my little girls this could be a great pack. (My two youngest girls are 12 inches long and 10 pounds.) You can use this backpack for 2 small pets, 1 small pet and some gear, or 1 small to medium sized pet. Like my other, smaller backpack, it folds up nice and compact. and fairly flat, but it would be great to have a strap to wrap it around and hold it together. I use bungee cord on my smaller one. Designed to balance use, utility, and durability, this great design has a few flaws that you should be aware of. So you can choose if this is the best backpack design for your needs. . It's obviously bigger/higher to accommodate 2-2 pets. I'm 5'8" and this backpack rubbed my thighs instead of being bigger so I was fine in the short term. I don't want to travel long distances. I think I'd get in trouble. For someone taller than I - will probably fit snugly without rubbing. This backpack has a padded back and padded shoulder straps. They also have a small extra strap to secure them across the chest. This backpack didn't have a waist strap, which would have been useful given its size. In order to remain flexible and store flat it loses some of its structural integrity...especially when using single animal mode (when you remove the divider between sections) as you can see in my photos My large Miniature Schnauzer always has still works great for everything it can and does and for all the flexibility it gives you this is a great product and a good buy. You just have to decide what you want to use it for and how to decide if this big pack or their smaller pack is the best choice. The company also has excellent customer service and stands behind their products. I have some of their pet products and we use them and them.
