I bought these in the hope that the attractiveness and ease of cleaning will encourage me to replace them when I can rather than reach for the forks, causing a pile of dirt in my sink. So far my lazy ass has managed to stick to the routine of flushing them. Of course I still have to grab my spurs and look for the cutest ones. Didn't know they had indentations for your fingers when I bought them, all I saw were teal and pandas - let me click 'buy now' without much thought, which is great for my rheumatoid arthritis-like joint pain ( exactly the same inflammation of the joints). Also, they are very light unlike the ones that came in the cheap packaging I bought for my family. They are real turquoise fiberglass, not painted. To keep the flakes from chipping, you can forget about them in a dirty sink full of water and wash them in the dishwasher without fear of ruining them. The pandas are removable silicone attachments, if you need to wash underneath or throw up with them they pop out instantly. You can put them back on just as easily. Thanks to silicone, they are very easy to care for and hygienic. The case is nice too, but it's easy to scratch. And pandas can get in your way until you learn how to put them back inside. The top of the backrest folds down a certain distance after you pull it out, so you don't have to move the lid all the way to take it out or put it back in. The biggest advantage of the case is that it's made of plastic, which makes it hygienic - if you wash your sticks before putting them back in, you can just put them back in while they're still damp. Stake your money on a multipack of uniformly boring black fiberglass chopsticks, but they're cute. And act. So I think they are worth the extra cost. Buy them for yourself or as a gift and give your family or roommates a boring multipack - I did that.
