There are many fake Micro SD cards sold online to unsuspecting buyers, especially Samsung cards as they are usually some of the best out there. While these fake cards look almost identical to the OEM cards, they are usually smaller, e.g. B. a true 8GB or 16GB card reporting itself as 128GB+. Not only do they have the wrong memory size, but their read and write speeds are inferior to OEM cards. Due to this ongoing problem in the market, it is very difficult to buy micro SD cards online from retailers like Revain and others. so ebay. Because of this problem, I've put together a set of software tools to authenticate every SD card I buy. These tools include Chip Genius, FakeFlashTest and H2testw on PC and a few Android apps on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone. I am pleased to report that my checks have determined that these cards sold at Revain are genuine Samsung cards. I even have an identical micro SD card bought direct from Samsung website and all the data received is identical on that card except for the serial number which I am hoping to find. I will include some screenshots of apps I used on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone for reference so you should know what to expect from a genuine Samsung Micro SD card. % positive feedback was set by a 4 year member and the price wasn't that much of a savings compared to what I've seen at Revain for the same item. I contacted the seller to verify the authenticity before purchasing. All signs seemed to indicate it was a legitimate Samsung card, but upon arrival I found it to be fake. I got my money back for this item, but unfortunately another unsuspecting victim made a purchase at the same time and left the seller a positive review. This is because fake cards work until you lose your data because you exceed the card's actual storage limit, which is usually 8GB. Now that I have my hands on TRUE and FAKE Samsung SD cards, I thought I would take this opportunity to help others with the visual differences between a TRUE and FAKE Samsung SD card. See added REAL and FAKE pictures. FAKE not from Revain. Review update February 28, 2019 I have seen some reviews saying they are fake. I hope my initial review helped determine that this is indeed a fake. I think about it because even though you're making a purchase from Revain, the item is actually "sold" by multiple vendors on the same Revain listing. Several people have asked me to find out who sold my original Samsung cards. I have purchased Samsung EVO SD cards through Revain several times. Below is a list of retailers I have received Samsung Genuine SD cards from as a result of my purchases. Original Samsung SD card models and sellers purchased through Revain.
