Background and purchase history. Recently, I finally changed my old windows to modern ones made of metal-plastic, and the question arose of choosing curtains for the new product. I have a tubular metal cornice in the room and in the kitchen (it’s a great thing, I already wrote a review about it, you can read it here), but the fact is that in the room the cornice consists of two tubes, on which you can hang two curtains (translucent tulle and a thick curtain), but in the kitchen there is a single cornice. Previously, the window was double (two frames and a distance between them), so I don’t have a big tulle between the frames, I still don’t see the point in hanging a thin tulle in the kitchen, I have to wash it too often. And since I live on the second floor, and the house is located at the bottom of the hill, then my windows are not very high, and curious citizens, it is quite possible to consider "what is going on in my house", Before buying Redi Shade Blinds, I studied other options, among which were aluminum blinds, and plastic and roller blinds, as well as Roman blinds, but they all had one thing in common - the size was not the right width for my windows (or already 2-3 centimeters, or wider by the same amount), and since all these options are not the cheapest yet, I decided to continue the search. In addition to the size, and the fact that what was happening in the apartment would not be visible from the street, I had one more requirement for the curtain. Namely, light isolation, although the last factor is temporary, but now it is simply very relevant, the fact is that in our city there is a blackout, that is, earlier from ten, and now from eleven in the evening, all residents are required to turn off the lights, just they cut down street lighting and so on, why more than one adequate and competent person could not answer, but our mayor came up with this (I never considered him literate), in general, "vigilant citizens do not sleep, and if someone has a light on at "quiet time "They run to inform the police, well, or they themselves can throw something out the window. I'm an owl by nature, and if I do something at home, it's only at night (I wash, clean, cook food), during the day I'm not physical , Having summed up all the factors, Redi Shade blinds with the blackout function, that is, which do not let in light, were purchased. These blinds are present in our store in two widths, namely 91 centimeters and 121 centimeters, but the width, as well as the length in principle (it is the same in both versions - 182 centimeters), can be adjusted to suit you with a knife, because the blinds are made of pleated paper. There are six color options: white, black, gray and three variations of brown (beige, coffee and chocolate), in general, practical colors are closer to natural ones. Considering the requirements I described, I chose the black option, so that there would certainly be full light isolation, and this color suited my interior more than the others. I chose a wider option, and the purchase cost me 259 hryvnia, of which 65 hryvnia was delivered. One such curtain was enough for me on both sashes of the window (their total width is 110 centimeters), so there was not a big piece left. Paper blinds Redi Shade came to me in a long package, everything is packed perfectly and hermetically, in addition to the curtain, there are two clothespins in the kit, with which you can fasten the curtain to the desired opening height. The clothespins are perfect for the curtain, they do not crumple the paper surface, but the linen cannot boast of this, I had to supplement the set with them, because I divided one blind into two. Blinds are attached with adhesive tape, it was originally attached at one (upper) end. It sticks well and stays on very well. You have to open and close the blinds manually, folding them with an accordion to the desired height. You can safely twist it to the level of adhesive tape, or you can lower it to the required height, because the blackout function hides not only the electric light inside, but the sunny outside, and with partial closure, the sun will not hit your eyes. These blinds fulfilled all the tasks I set, and for myself I consider this purchase just excellent (finally I can do my own business at the best time for myself), the light, the curtain does not let through, it looks quite stylish, you don’t need great skills to operate it, Yes, and with fastening there were no problems at all, plus it was easy to adjust to the desired size. In the photographs from the street, the arrows point to my windows, the electric light is turned on inside, and how it penetrates the outside can be assessed "with the naked eye", only thin bands of light are noticeable at a certain viewing angle. But, of course, it was not without its downsides. Nevertheless, the material of the product is paper, and as a result, as such, the blinds cannot be cleaned, that is, wiped from dust and that's it. And like all interior details, such curtains also get dirty, and here is the case when it is easier to buy new ones than to clean the old ones. Also, over time, the pleating is pulled out, it is already noticeable, after two months of operation (naturally, I use this product every day, at least twice a day, re-fastening the position), so if you need to cut not in width, but in length, it is better to do it through some time of operation. Even these curtains can be tritely wrinkled, and traces may remain, this is typical of paper products. But, I am personally satisfied with the purchase, and I can quite recommend it for purchase, both as just additional curtains, and for protection from the sun, in the latter case, these blinds can last quite a long time.
