Review on Gorilla 105801 Super 1 Pack Clear by Ethan Delaney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's just "super glue ".

Cyanoacrylate Superglue is never as good as it looks. In some cases this works very well. It can be disappointing on many surfaces or when gluing mixed materials. The original brand "Super Glue" is the worst I've tried, but Gorilla Gel is surprisingly good. There are better glues on the market where superglue doesn't help. Cyanoacrylate works well on metal, plastic, fabric, leather, and canvas. Epoxy is even better and works best on metal, rubber, glass, plastic, fiberglass and fiberglass. I prefer JB Weld 2-tube epoxy (steel and hardener) and Craft E6000. Both have the tensile strength of a steel weld, will adhere to many other surfaces, and will not cure instantly, allowing you to move parts around for perfect placement in minutes. Both are cheap, take time to fully cure, and both should be used with a mask or in a well-ventilated area. If I only had one epoxy it would be my Craft E6000. Don't forget to take enough tape with you as well. If he moves and you don't want him to, duck! I used high quality tape in a 200 mile race car repair kit.

Pros
  • FAST CURE: Dries in 10-45 seconds. Clip not required
Cons
  • Obsolete
