Overall I am very happy with this mount and it is a great replacement for my old magnetic mount. The product feels solid, not cheap at all. All moving parts move smoothly and engage well. Even with a large phone and case, the mount stayed in place when using the vent clip when driving over bumps and rough roads. You may have to turn the tightening knob on the ball mount to ensure it stays in place, but I've done this with other mounts so I'm not surprised. When using the dash mount, it stayed in place even when fully extended. What is nice is that the automatic opening/closing works even when the holder is not connected. I haven't had it long enough to confirm that it lasts 5 months on a single charge, but I don't expect that to be a problem. As mentioned in the product description, the car charger is not included, so you will need to purchase one separately if you don't already have one. It's not specifically stated, but for those who might be wondering, no, it won't charge your phone when it's not plugged in. Only the open/close function works without connection to the charger. I noticed in the Q&A that someone mentioned that the mount blocks the buttons on Pixel 3/3 XL phones. I tested this with the 4 and 4 XL and it only blocked the volume down button on the smaller Pixel 4. Both phones had an easily accessible power button so I wouldn't worry about that. It's also worth noting that Pixel phones don't charge fast (get it yourself). Other than that, I had no trouble using the vertical setting to charge both phones wirelessly.
