Great for beginners

Initial rating was 4 stars but the sender keeps emailing me asking for a rating even though they have already verified it. A little change? Yes. I'm fed up with spam emails. This is a reasonable starter kit for beginners. I already knew how to do a few simple things and that evening I had a book that explained the different styles better. The walkthrough is reasonable, some points are a bit confusing, but not bad. I didn't give a 5 for several reasons: The packaging was quite shabby and looked like it had been water damaged. Book and papers were fine. The papers are wrapped tightly so no additional damage has occurred. The paper is very, very thin which is a good start but for some shapes a thicker paper may help. I don't know exactly how or where they were made, but some of the papers had a few crushed bugs on them. I'm sure that can happen on any assembly line, but phew. In my opinion this would be a great starter kit for teenagers.

Pros
  • Origami paper
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
