I bought these sunglasses to wear primarily for driving but occasionally for reading by the pool. I've been using it almost every day for two months. They are exceptionally good for the money. The optics are sharp and accurate, and the bifocal area is positioned about right for both long-distance (eyes up) and close-up, dashboard readings (eyes down). The lenses sit snugly on the sides to eliminate side glare when the sun shines through the car's side window. The hinges, bow and arms are very strong and seem to hold up, although the nose mount doesn't adjust easily and the side arms are a bit long. However, they work well enough for me (I have a face size slightly smaller than the average male). This is my second purchase of inexpensive bifocals in the last 6 months. In comparison another pair from another seller were a little cheaper but not nearly as good so I would recommend these Optix 55 to anyone who wants a good quality pair of sunglasses at a great price. I will buy again if and when I have to (I tend to lose or sit alone after all). One more thing. They definitely look better than the image superimposed on the old man in the ad!
