Review on Casablanca 59164 Contemporary Stealth Ceiling by Beth Smith

I would give 4.5 stars if that was an option. I bought two of these Capablanca fans after returning a noisy/wobbly fan and a non-working/DOA fan (non-Casablanca brand) from a reputable hardware store. Yes, they were more expensive than my previous purchase, but I am very happy with the total silence of these fans, which is a major buying factor for me. Neither fan required blade balancing, but I only use them on settings 1-3. The overall design is modern and elegant in my opinion, the installation was easy. I have a few comments that I feel could improve the quality and desirability of these fans: 1) The screws holding the blade tips to the blades feel flimsy. One of the screws broke during assembly without my undue effort. It just showed up. There were extra screws in the kit, which is great, but the broken part of the screw got stuck in the blade and wouldn't come out. After trying many approaches I resorted to using crazy glue in the screw hole to provide support between the two broken parts of the screw. 2) The LED light seems very cold to me. I would prefer a warmer color or a warmer color rendition. The user cannot change the bulbs to achieve different lighting. 3) The visual design of the fan is excellent; It looks great just sitting there. Very stylish and modern look. However, for my needs, the lowest fan speed is so high that the user cannot see the details of the fan. Speed settings 4-6 are very fast; I'm not sure when I'll ever use them. In my opinion, it would be much better if all speed levels could be scaled down a few steps.
