Casablanca 59164 Contemporary Stealth Ceiling Review

Replaced old Bel Air Casablanca with this one. Real wood and metal parts, very high quality fit, perfectly balanced and quiet whisper. Nothing to complain about except for the price. Looks great!

I asked someone to install it for me. The remote control isn't what it was 10 years ago. The old one worked on the temperature. When the room gets cool, the glass slows down. Also, you can turn on the light regularly to confuse the robbers. This remote control sucks.

I have installed several ceiling fans over the years and this is by far the easiest. The guide was great. The fan works great and is very quiet as other reviews have noted. The only reason it didn't give 5 stars is because it vibrates at high speed. I NEVER run the fan at high speed and use this fan at no more than 4 speeds out of 6. I just think that this expensive fan should not oscillate at high speed.

Looking for the quietest fan you can buy? It could be. The engine hum of an old Hampton Bay fan above the bed might be disturbing. What was even more annoying was that nobody else could hear it. This fan is silent as a shadow. or at least the engine. There is no noticeable hum. Wind noise can be heard at higher speeds. As a bonus, the LED lighting provides plenty of usable light, more than the 4-60w incandescent bulbs in an old fan. This is a relatively expensive fan, but worth every penny.

Installation would also be easy if the house didn't have a junction box and a pile of chipped slats and plaster where the previous chandelier was attached to the ceiling.
