Review on Original Monster Master MM LP 001 S4 Pinch-Off by James Holker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Smaller than I thought but decent quality

I was surprised to see that they are a little smaller than I expected. The photo above shows the trademark Irwin Vise-Grip (c), and below are 3 locking pliers (this product) for size reference.1. In general, despite the smaller size, the forging looks of decent quality.2. The threaded pins are machined to size and do not jam.3. The springs seem to be decently thick so as not to wear out and break easily4. In another photo you can see that there is no leg on the adjusting screw compared to a well-known branded product. Not that big of a problem as this product seems to ride without bindings but is a little less quality compared to a well known branded product. The build quality of this product is not as good as that of a famous brand, but it seems more cosmetic than functional.6. This product has knobs on the handle to make it easier to grip, which I liked compared to a famous brand.7. I would only consider them pliers, not cutting tools. There are almost no "blades" on them. Overall they appear to be good value for money and durable enough to last a decent amount of time.

Pros
  • power and hand tools
Cons
  • boring packaging
