I have to say that they really are better than you thought. They have a metal frame that you put inside to make them more durable. I've found that many storage bins don't have this. I'll admit I was a little confused on how to assemble it and there were no instructions, but my husband figured it out in 10 seconds. There is an opening on the top and side so it can be versatile depending on how you want to access what you are storing here. I would say I wouldn't put anything super heavy on them because they are still soft, but they are great for my closet to store my winter clothes or my summer clothes to alternate with. I think you can also store duvets and sheets and linens. So I think these containers are more ideal. This is something to put on top of your closet if you have the space. If you have a closet or closet with a gap of about 2 feet, they should fit in easily. I like them a lot and am pleasantly surprised by their design and concept. I hope you find this review helpful.
