Review on Cycra Replacement Abrasion Guards Natural by Cedric Ziebart

They work well but don't expect plastic sliders to fit.

I just installed three of these kits and the main function is fine. The unusual curve doesn't seem necessary, but it sets it apart from the rest. Not sure how it will survive a fall compared to simpler versions. The main mounting holes match. Plastic protectors/sliders are a great idea but too bad they don't fit. None of them queued up. The holes are drilled in different locations on the rod than on the sliders. I assume you can drill a new hole in the metal. In any case, they are not nailed to the screws. The slider screws are designed to be "self-tapping," but the few I've tried have been mediocre at best. I would be wary of fitting plastic handguards due to the position of the slider holes. (I didn't do this, so can't say for sure.) The bars themselves work well, but it's frustrating that the slider feature is just a waste of time. The best choice would be old-fashioned bark sticks with no odd curves.
