I don't have a problem with shrink bands, but they do get in the way. If you're buying this to use crayons, don't worry. The scratches are too deep and that's all; Scratch. The crayons only sit in these scratches, and because they're so big and so far apart, they only stick to a few pieces. If you have already bought this or are buying a smooth sheet; Purchase a pack of high grit wet or dry sandpaper. Sand the scratched side until it is soft or smooth to the touch and examine in the light. If obvious scratches or shiny spots appear, continue sanding. They're ideal if you hand sand them enough, but it's easier to sand the normal shine shrink seams first.
